The composition is impressive. The first thing that caught me there is the colours you've used. I'm very sensible to such a mix of colours I think. The whole painting is quite simple, but it looks so complex at the same. It has to do with the texture. Did you do all that grainy texte with a round brush? I hope not, you'd be crazy! You have such a particular way to mix up colours, I've never seen this before. I think this is a part of why I admire your talent and your way to be so different from other digital painters. And yet, this recalls me how I did one painting I love so much. Too bad, I'd need to try and find out how I did it So you really used only round brushes? Oh my!

If I may suggest anything, I'd say you should try to have more fun working on the eyes.

I love to use complementary colours - I also love to use blues for shadows, and I love the green/purple colour combination! I started this pic by blocking in the light sources and shadows and worked from there, which I've found really helps when arranging the lighting.

Yes, this is all round brush, although the grainy texture is mostly down to Photoshop's "Add Noise" filter - I tend to apply that to most of my pictures, just to give the surface a bit more life.

The eyes were just two brush blobs... I left them because they look directly at the viewer, and I kinda liked the simplicity.

Hey, everyone learns to draw Eddie at some point! He's actually quite easy to draw once you figure out the pattern. Trouble is, all your zombie pics end up looking like him if you don't concentrate
